The first day of summer is Friday! Therefore it's the perfect time of year to top your wedding cake with local fresh flowers in lieu of the average cake topper. The truth is, you can take a simple cake and dress it up like whoa with blossoms. Maybe get a simple white cake for your wedding and top it with a cake bouquet! (Or a bough-cake? Get it?)
Over the weekend I hosted a lady picnic in my backyard with my pal Cindy. We invited a few friends over and hung out in the backyard at my picnic table and ate dinner. We stayed hydrated with cucumber water, and ate cheese and crackers, strawberry goat cheese salad, herbed potato salad, pork tenderloin, and had cake for dessert!
We used Susty Party's biodegradable striped straws to make our blackberry champagne and rose lemonade cocktails extra special! We fitted each straw with a washi tape flag. I used five different colors/patterns of tape to differentiate everyone's drinks.
