DIY: Local Bourbon Cocktail

This fizzy cherry bourbon drink is perfect for the last warm days of the summer. Featured on Whole Food's Locally Mixed online column, this recipe comes from Sarah and Dulcie, the authors behind Two Tarts cooking blog.

"Bourbon is also a natural match for cherries, and has been found mingling with this stone fruit in classic cocktails like the venerable Old Fashioned. We wanted to lighten up the bourbon-cherry combo, so we added a healthy dose of carbonated water (and plenty of ice), making this a perfect patio sipper. We also used store-bought cherry juice (available bottled at many grocery stores) to make this drink as easy as possible."
