Monday, February 22, 7:00pm - 10:00pm

WHERE: Brooklyn Creative League (BCL)
540 President Street, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11215
(M, N, R to Union Street), 718-576-2104.

WHAT: Green Edge NYC is thrilled to partner with bk farmyards for our monthly BCL Supper Club to raise funds for the Youth Farm developed by bk farmyards and the High School for Public Service in Crown Heights / East Flatbush to start the 1-Acre Farmyard!

Come and enjoy a delicious meal, topped off with cocktails from Sister Liqueurs.
In addition there will be a live auction of goodie baskets filled with gift certificates to local restaurants and shops, artisan liqueurs, homebrews and more! There will be a short presentation on the new Farm at the high school followed by discussion on the future of urban agriculture and school farms.

COST: $15 in advance, $20 at the door
All the proceeds will go toward the Youth Farm bk farmyards has developed in partnership with the High School for Public Service.

NOTE: This is a change from our usual BCL Supper Club. This is not a pot luck. Food and drinks will be provided. We only ask for a $15.00 donation in advance online, $20.00 at the door.

The Youth Farm will be one of the only fresh food sources in the neighborhood. Your donations will help empower the students to become leaders in their community. This is truly the gift that keeps on giving; once in place, the farmyard will continue to thrive for years.

When you walk by this summer, you can proudly say, ‘I built that!’ .

Based in Brooklyn, BK Farmyards transforms under-utilized land into tasty edible landscapes. They partner with homeowners, schools, developers, and community members to build micro-farms and distribute produce weekly. Not only can the community follow the food from seed to table, they are helping us build a much-needed alternative to the abundance of cheap processed foods and fast-food restaurants. We rely exclusively on the power of volunteers and the endless energy of the bk team instead of gas-guzzling machinery. We strive to make our food so affordable that anyone can access fresh food.

Brooklyn Creative League gives freelance professionals, small-shop companies, and nonprofits the tools they need to get their work done: affordable, green workspace, office amenities, and acommunity of professional colleagues.
